We had this domain name for a month or so and had a good idea on what we wanted to do with it and got a db domp done but we never got to developing the beta.
Since last.fm has launched a new api and has put a limit on the no of queries you can do we decided not to use their api. we do start a website with the hope of making it big so we needed so unlimited resource.
That’s where MTV’s new api came in picture they had a limited data but pretty decent so we started developing the site based on their new api and it came out nice.
we needed some extra juice to the site just artist names and their videos from MTV wont do any justice to our users so we added few extra features.
- if we dont have ny videos from MTV for any artist we will fetch videos from YouTube.
- Basic details about the artist from Wikipedia if available.
- Images from Yahoo Image Search.
This is the beta or what we call here “close to beta” so wait till we launch the full site.

What exactly is mooDump? to tell you the truth we ourselves don’t know, it’s just that we like the work moo it represents milk and rhymes with more. We love milk and our sites always offer the users more than they expect so we called our network mooDump.
Makes some sense? we sure hope so.
We are basically a small firm based out of indian and the USA and we love to develop sites that we like because before developing sites we were critics sitting at home and complaining about each and every sites we saw that’s the main reason why our sites offer more that the users expect and deliver what it promises.
So we have started our journey with the hope to deliver a great network of entertainment sites to our users.
