I usually sit and do a site: gsearch for all my sites once in a while to see how many pages are indexed since I am not very good at SEO n stuff and while doin that today I found that indiapublic.com has mire than 2000 pages indexed in google but the site is down.
Let me tell you a talk about eleven2 hosting I took an account with them almost a year back I had a server running that time but I still wanted to see how good their hostiing is (they were bragging too much) so I got myself an account and started hosting site after site and my sites always take a lot of bandwidth I had rssaid.com as the main site it was a media SE site.
After a few months they suspeneded my account along with 20+ sites and I had no notification from them as far as I know the sites where all legal and I was not that stunned cause they had a very crappy servers, the stats (AwStats) was generating only after 4 days for my sites and they don’t have any option where I can manually update it.
Since the sites where not all that important I didn’t care and since I didn’t bother they didn’t either.
So to get back to the main discussion since the site is suspended how to get the files for indiapublic? Simple I had a backup written in a DVD.
So there you go I will lainch the site once the domain resolves back to my servers from eleven2 and the problem is solved.
But just a word of advice don’t go for eleven2 if you have a important project goin up go for a VPS from wiredtree.com they are awesome.

We had this domain name for a month or so and had a good idea on what we wanted to do with it and got a db domp done but we never got to developing the beta.
Since last.fm has launched a new api and has put a limit on the no of queries you can do we decided not to use their api. we do start a website with the hope of making it big so we needed so unlimited resource.
That’s where MTV’s new api came in picture they had a limited data but pretty decent so we started developing the site based on their new api and it came out nice.
we needed some extra juice to the site just artist names and their videos from MTV wont do any justice to our users so we added few extra features.
- if we dont have ny videos from MTV for any artist we will fetch videos from YouTube.
- Basic details about the artist from Wikipedia if available.
- Images from Yahoo Image Search.
This is the beta or what we call here “close to beta” so wait till we launch the full site.
